I wanted to point out some things about SOME CHURCHES. Not specific churches, just some churches. You know some of those notorious churches we talk about all the time that have no name, no location, not even a website can be found. Yet in comparison to our churches, some churches just don’t have a clue. Really?
Some churches don’t have altar calls, some churches don’t witness a person accept Jesus Christ all year, and some churches don’t preach the bible. Today I learned by watching an online sermon that some churches are not upfront when it comes to staff transitions. What’s great about our churches, however; are that they have the edge over some churches because some churches do it wrong and our churches always do it right. Are you following me?
In comparison to some churches, come on you know the church I’m referring to; I don’t even have to say the name because everybody knows about some churches. Nobody wants to go to some churches, yet everybody wants to go to our churches. Somehow our churches are just a cut above some churches. We’ve learned so much from what some churches are doing wrong, that our churches are flourishing…well…because some churches just don’t get it like our churches do.
Lastly, I thank God for some churches, because when unfairly compared with our churches, it feels good and makes our churches look like we have it all together . I mean, some churches shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence with our churches because to be honest…some churches are not real. Did you catch that? Some churches don’t exist. There are a few, but for the most part some churches are created by second hand information, hurt and wounded people, disgruntled church transfers and the like. Of course making our churches very safe places to come and heal.
It would be wise for us not to compare ourselves with some churches because it gives a false security of how our churches are really doing. As we head into Sunday forget about what some churches are doing AND focus on how each of our churches can make the world a better place.
LOL! LOL! That’s an awesome post Dean! Seems so easy to build our own church up at the expense of tearing “some churches” down.
It’s funny. If you listen for it, “we” do it all the time unknowingly sometimes.

I agree! Its easy to do and a dangerous mentality to slip into. Great post!
Very easy to do…thank you for commenting!
Their is nothing like our church, to me, however their church might work for them. If our church and their church lead to Jesus, I say right on!
Absolutely Todd!
